This is the website for the American Chemical Society, an organization of 160,000 members at all degree levels of education. It was founded in 1876 and its headquarters are in Washington D.C. The ACS has several divisions, publications, grants, meetings and other activities which can all be seen on the website, as well as information about becoming a member.

CAS, located in Columbus, Ohio, is a division of the American Chemical Society. It is the producer of the largest and most comprehensive databases of chemical information. Its principal databases are Chemical Abstracts (CA), which contains over 27 million documents. CAS offers online, web-based, desk-top, print, and CD-ROM access to its databases, all available by subscription.

This website, which comes from the University of Sheffield in England, contains the complete periodic table. It was launched in 1993. Besides the periodic table, WebElements offers other information of use to researchers and students.
